The Fifth Third Bank Diversity Leadership Symposium brings together business
and community executives for discussing best practices in inclusion, inspiring keynotes, and
an update on how we are making our region diverse by design and inclusive by intention.

    FOCUS SESSION SPOTLIGHT:

Engaging Executives and Managers in Effective D&I Programs

Scott A. Carroll, Cincinnati Office Managing Principal, Jackson Lewis P.C.
Weldon H. Latham, Chair Corporate Diversity Counseling Group, Jackson Lewis P.C.

Successful D&I programs depend on engagement and active implementation
by the managers who make most hiring and promotion decisions, and are
principallycharged with identifying and developing talent.

    This session will:

    • Provide evidence of the value — to both the enterprise and the individual
manager —  of active engagement in and implementation of D&I Programs.

    • Reinforce the obligations of managers to develop all employees
through training, feedback, mentoring, sponsorship, and other actions.

    • Provide practical advice and tools for successfully managing
and developing a workforce composed of diverse employees.
