three E's:
Entrepreneurs, Education, and Engagement
Tim Rettig, Founder and CEO of Intrust IT will join us for our February eKickStart program. Intrust IT's financial performance was lackluster and employee engagement was marginal until they implemented the Great Game of Business, which is an open book management system. The Great Game of Business, or GGOB, is a system pioneered by Jack Stack in 1983 and formalized in his book by the same name. The system gives every employee not just access to, but understanding of, the finances of the company. In this session you'll hear the story of how and why Intrust implemented the system so you can understand how and why it will work in your company.
Tim is a second-generation entrepreneur in the IT industry. Tim started Intrust IT in 1992 while in college at the University of Cincinnati, causing him to drop out of college to focus on his entrepreneurial path. Four short years later he sold the company, staying on to run the division for the parent company. Eleven years after selling he bought the division back and merged with another IT company in Chicago. After much drama with his partners, he bought out both partners, sold the Chicago office and then repaid over a million dollars in debt to build a profitable company that has won numerous awards, including being recognized as a Best Place to Work in Cincinnati for a total of seven years, a Best Workplace in Ohio in 2018, Best IT Services Company in Cincinnati in 2018, and was listed on the Inc. 500|5000 three years in a row. Tim has built a unique company culture that has drastically reduced employee turnover and improved employee engagement.
