Description:
General Revenue Corporation (GRC) is the industry-leading debt collection agency specializing in higher education-related collections with over 1000 college and university clients. A Cincinnati-based employer for over 25 years, GRC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sallie Mae, a Fortune 500 company and the nations largest provider of student loan services. We are seeking Collectors, responsible to perform collection activities on student loans or personal tax debt, provide counseling, and negotiate payment terms with borrowers. Excellent negotiation, communication, account management, and problem solving skills are required.
Regular Schedule: 3 days 8:30AM - 5:30PM, 2 evenings Noon - 9PM, 2-3 Saturdays per month 8:30AM - 12:30PM and an occasional Sunday.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment, excellent verbal communication skills required, proven negotiation, counseling and problem solving skills desired and demonstrated time management skills and 1 year of previous collections experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Collectors must be fluent in both languages.
