DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY IMPACT
United Way of Greater Cincinnati, recognized as one of the strongest United Ways in the country, has an opportunity for a qualified candidate to provide leadership and relationship building as part of the Community Impact Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, management and implementation of United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s #1 strategic priority – Children Prepared for Kindergarten. Through cross-functional work, the position will develop and disseminate the knowledge, practices, and metrics needed to help United Way successfully implement early childhood strategies. The position will provide professional leadership to Success By 6® staff; early childhood service providers; community volunteers; and the Board of Directors and involves a high degree of complexity as a result of balancing the interests of various constituencies.
The Director position requires a master’s degree in early childhood, education, social work or a related field; and at least 10 years of prior relevant work experience focused on leading change in large, complex systems, particularly in the nonprofit sector. The successful candidate will also have knowledge, skills and abilities in community and organizational change strategies; familiarity with the health and human services sector; strong project management skills and excellent communication skills.
