SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKERS

JOB DESCRIPTION 

-Grounds maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, hand trimming bushes, clearing weeds

-Litter pick-up and trash collection

-Manual landscaping tasks, such as installing trail ties, loading/unloading fertilizer and mulch

-Park building maintenance and cleaning; sweeping, mopping floors

-Special event tasks: loading/unloading and setting up/taking down tables and chairs

-Other Park maintenance tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must be at least 18 years of age, or 17 years old with High School Diploma or GED

-Provide own transportation

-Must be a Hamilton County resident

-Requires valid Driver’s License

-Must be physically fit, able to do “heavy” to “very heavy” physical work:

“heavy work” means exerting fifty to one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and/or twenty to fifty pounds of force frequently and/or ten to twenty pounds of force constantly to move objects. “very heavy work” means exerting in excess of one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of fifty pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of twenty pounds of force constantly to move objects.

PAY/HOURS:

$8.50 per hour, 30-40 hours per week,

Regular shift may include weekend days, paid at straight time.

-Must complete a City of Cincinnati Open to the Public job application

-Must provide with their application: 

1.  current police records check (obtained from Hamilton County Clerk of Courts)

2.  current drivers license abstract (obtained from local Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles office)

3. show a valid Ohio drivers license at time of submitting the application
