The Cincinnati Art Museum has an immediate opening for a full-time visitor services floor team leader in the Visitor Services Department.

Responsibilities: The floor team leader serves as the liaison between the assistant director of visitor services, the assistant director of member services, and the part-time visitor services assistants. Working under the direction of the two assistant directors, the floor team leader is responsible for facilitating communication between the Visitor Services department and the Membership department, as well as assisting in the implementation of needed training for staff. As a member of the visitor services staff, the floor team leader ensures a positive experience for all visitors to the Cincinnati Art Museum by maintaining and staffing the Art Museum’s Visitor Services Desk and Member Services Desk. In addition, the floor team leader helps with assisting visitors and volunteers, promoting all Art Museum initiatives—including membership, programs, and ticketing.

Must be able to work the following schedule:  Tuesday 9:00-5:00; Wednesday 1-9:00; Thursday 9:00-5:00; Friday 9:00-4:30; Saturday 10:30-4:30. Some additional weekends and evenings may be required. 

Requirements: The visitor services floor team leader must possess customer service experience, as well as be outgoing in nature, creative, and team-oriented. High School diploma preferred, as well as some college is a plus. In addition, the visitor services floor team leader must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, effectively communicate with visitors in person and on phone calls, and present information and respond to questions from visitors. Must have some knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email and the ability to learn Museum ProVenue ticketing system and Raiser’s Edge membership system. Sales experience is a plus. Knowledge of development principles is helpful.
