Title:  Maintenance Supervisor                                    

Reporting to:  Maintenance Manager

General Summary:  Provides direct supervision of coordinators, technicians, and custodians.  Ensures that each mechanic has proficient skills to maximize the up-time of the facility and material handling systems. Responsible for coordinating and communicating with Operations to ensure complete maintenance support to fulfill the needs of the business. Provides coaching and guidance to direct reports for their development and the improvement of maintenance operations. Works in coordination with the Maintenance Planner or Coordinator to ensure that all requirements are identified, that adequate resources are scheduled, and that all completed work is validated and documented.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Duties:

·         Responsible for the direct supervision of the Maintenance team including coordinators, mechanics, strappers and janitorial.

·         Responsible for the operation of the Maintenance Department and ensuring equipment uptime in support of Operations.

·         Serves as the main point of contact for Operations on all maintenance related matters.

·         Receives all project requests, establishes priorities, and coordinates with the Operational partners to ensure timely completion of all work.

·         Ensures all work orders and PMs are completed on schedule and documented properly in Maximo.

·         Successfully attain department cost goals.

·         Ensure accurate and economically balanced level of spare parts, tools and materials.

·         Ensures accurate data entry in the Maximo system.

·         Responsible for the supervision of any contractors and vendors operating on the campus.

·         Responsible for the maintaining and properly filing all service related documents (PIV, HVAC, etc.).

·         Provides Manager with a weekly Supervisor summary.

·         Conducts regular one on one coaching sessions with direct reports.

·         Administers corrective action as necessary.

·         Responsible for the implementation and adherence to all safety guidelines and procedures.

·         Responsible for identifying, scheduling, and conducting training for direct reports.

·         Maintains PTO calendar for the shift.

·         Maintains KRONOS for the shift.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

·         Conduct performance evaluations for all assigned coordinators, technicians, assistants, and custodians.

·         Identifies needs and provides input into the development and execution of capital projects.

·         Bench mark and monitor the maintenance department productivity.

·         Assists Maintenance Manager with long range capital planning.

·         Ensure facility equipment and procedures are compliant will all federal and local safety regulations.

 

Required Qualifications:

·   Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude – proven skills through past experience, either formal or informal training. Technical certifications are preferred.

·   5+ years of practical experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent.

·   Strong knowledge of equipment automation and facility management

o        PLC

o        Communication protocols – wired/wireless networks

o        Fire protection

o        HVAC

o        Electric lifts

o        Various types of conveyors

 

·   Business

·   Utilize standard office software programs

·   Time Management

·   Strong written and oral communication skills

·   Maximo

 

2.        Minimum experience/education level:

·   BA or BS preferred

·   High School diploma or equivalent required.

·   Minimum 5 years practical experience as a mechanic.

·   2 – 3 years experience in a supervision position.

 

  1. Must maintain a flexible schedule to conduct the positions duties. 

 

4.        Physical Requirements:

·   Must be able to lift 50 pounds

·   Must present professional demeanor and appearance at all times in accordance with Gap Inc. dress code standards and in a clean and well-maintained condition.
