Job Description:

PROJECT MANAGER

 

Qualifications:

 

- Minimum of 5 years experience in related field

- Excellent organizational and communications skills and enthusiasm

- Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Work, Excel, Power-point, Quickbook

- Professional, responsible and punctual individual

- Ability to oversee a wide variety of activities simultaneously

- Ability to work independently as well as on a team 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Event Planning/implementation:

- Find or confirm speakers, locations and work with catering staff

- Identify and validate relevant topics and program content

- Connect with Committees for program development and management

- Design/produce/distribute promotional material - invitations, hand outs, programs

- Send press releases and event promotion to Media

- Attend to all details related to event and post event activities

 

Office:

 

- Update website

- Process credit card payments

- Process daily transactions (billing and payables) in the Quickbook system

- Participate in budget and strategic planning

- Set up and send Monthly Newsletter & Weekly announcements - collect contributions

 

Time Distribution:

 

- 50% Event planning & implementation

- 30% Communication: newsletter/announcements/website

- 20% Office accounting
