Job Description:

Provides facilitation and negotiation leadership for the assigned contract portfolio with the goal of attaining the optimal balance of quality, service, availability and value. Works closely with Value Analysis Teams and key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. Analyzes assigned products, services and contracts with the goal of attaining the best value decision. Utilizes all available tools to gain market knowledge and to access best pricing of assigned categories. Negotiates pricing and contracts for products, product groups, services and capital equipment. Orchestrates the evaluation processes. Resolves problems associated with vendor relationships. Effective communications to key stakeholders including but not limited to medical staff, clinicians, executive leaders and supplier executives.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in a purchasing, management engineereing or financial analytics position where financial/purchasing analysis is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Ability to perform expert level on Microsoft Excel to develop spreadsheets, use macros and compare data. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail . Knowledge of contract law and/or uniform commercial code. Knowledge of medical/surgical products utilized in a hospital setting preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Working knowledge of automated materials management information preferred. Ability to present data clearly and speak publically. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously and understanding of uses of products in a medical setting. Required to exercise commensurate independent judgement and discretion
