    Job Description
    Interact for Health is seeking a conference center and education manager to support its Conference Center and Learning Center programs. The conference center and education manager will be responsible for the operational management of Learning Center programs and room scheduling and coordination of events held in the Conference Center. He or she will be responsible for operational, implementation and post-event activities. The successful candidate will have a familiarity with a variety of office and professional software, excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and project management skills. Experience in the hospitality, customer service or business industry is preferred.

    Conference Center and Education Manager is responsible for the operational management of Learning Center programs and room scheduling and coordination of events held in the Conference Center by internal and external clients. He or she is responsible for operational, implementation and post-event activities.

    Reports to: Director of Conference Center and Education

    Responsibilities:

    Learning Center

    • Manages pre-workshop registration and payment details for all Learning Center guests and facilitators
    • Supervises preparation of all program materials required for presenters and Learning Center guests
    • Manages the activities of subcontractors and vendors as required to successfully execute all aspects of the event including facilitating the event registration process
    • Assists Director with preparing and submitting program provider applications and obtaining documentation from subcontractors required to administer CEU, CECH and RCH programs
    • Manages workshop registration upon guest arrival and remains available to troubleshoot and supervise Learning Center events leading to successful execution of the event or program
    • Develops and executes necessary follow-up with subcontractors and client groups
    • Provides post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporates learning into future workshop planning
    • Develops event reports and distributes as required to sponsors, participants and Interact for Health staff

    Conference Center

    • Assists Conference Center clients with room and A/V scheduling, ordering of banquet services, room set up and general Conference Center information
    • Coordinates food orders with Conference Center clients and the caterer
    • Manages EMS scheduling software to administer meeting lists, check or make room assignments, and assist with space availability requests
    • Maintains proficiency with all A/V equipment to be able to assist Conference Center clients
    • Assists with banquet services when needed (includes coffee urns, dishwasher, basic food and beverage service)
    • Serves as backup when Director is unavailable

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a wide variety of office and professional software
    • Excellent customer service skills required
    • Three years of office experience preferred
    • Hospitality experience preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with multiple deadlines
    • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
    • Adult Education, Business BS/BA Degree or Hospitality BS/BA preferred
