QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in finance, accounting, business or public administration or comparable education and/or experience. One year experience in administrative duties including demonstrated proficiency in record management, accounting or bookkeeping, office practices, and computer operations; or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience in related areas.
DUTIES: (Not intended to describe all duties.)
Functions as part of the team serving individuals by providing expertise in the area of funding and consulting with Service and Support Administrators (SSAs) about funding available to individuals served; attends team meetings and meetings with providers; informs SSAs of the cost of identified services; provides technical assistance to SSAs during the process of authorizing services.
Enters data and related fiscal information for services; gathers the relevant information to be summarized on the payment authorization documents (PAS) and obtains the appropriate approvals signatures/emails as needed; calculates and enters the number of units based on the My Plan/Hours Worksheets into an allowable format for the payment authorization systems (i.e., PAS) and enters data; conducts PAS utilization reviews as needed.
Processes invoices from providers and vendors for locally funded services; utilizes GK to process all electronic bill files; acts as liaison with providers to troubleshoot issues with billing for locally funded services; coordinates the set-up of purchase orders for locally funded services; maintains tracking sheet to monitor increases, decreases or cancellations of yearly purchase orders.
Acts as liaison for Service Providers and SSAs; provides technical assistance and training to providers and HCDDS staff.
Carries out funding quality assurance activities as directed by conducting reviews of provider billing documentation to compare authorized services with billed services; shares results with SSAs and Supervisors; collaborates with agency Quality Improvement staff through this process as requested; assists with reporting results to the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities as needed.
Performs funding implementation activities; researches payment status for services, collects additional information, and corrects errors if needed.
Annual Salary: $35,946.95
