    The Automotive Technology Instructor must be committed to providing quality instruction to students of various ages, social and language backgrounds while meeting the program objectives.  Applicant must enjoy working with students both in and out of the classroom.  This individual will fulfill all other faculty responsibilities for student and program support.

    • 10 month full time faculty position, primarily consisting of full time teaching both in the traditional classroom and in web enhancing courses
    • Carry a full time teaching load in the fall and spring semesters and have a commitment to using assessment to improve teaching and learning.
    • Involved in program committees and could represent the program on college committees as determined by the program and/or college
    • Academic Advising duties
    • Responsible for assisting with student recruitment, retention, assessment and other duties as assigned by the Division and/or Dean
    • Summer opportunities with additional compensation may be available and are encouraged
    • Must be willing to work days or evenings as required

    Associate Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline

    At least five years of experience in automotive repair industry as an automotive technician

    ASE master tech certified (current)

    Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment as well as external business and community partners, representing his/her self in a professional and courteous manner; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally; ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.  Must have proficient computer skills in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Prior teaching and/or corporate training experience

    Bachelors Degree

    Collision repair certification a plus.
