    Job Description

    SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.

    TOTAL NUMBER OF FTEs DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY SUPERVISED: 0

    PURPOSE OF POSITION: To plan; direct and control the daily operations of the credit union according to the policies set forth by the Credit Union Board of Directors.

    REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
    ·Financial Duties
    Perform month-end close and year-end close process. Prepare and distribute the monthly financial statements of the Credit Union to the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Committee. Quarterly complete the National Credit Union Administration 5300 Call Report. Prepare Asset Liability Management Reports on a quarterly basis. Update general ledger accounts on a daily basis. Reviews delinquent loan and Visa accounts and coordinates all collection activity. Works with attorney's when legal action is necessary on past due accounts. Gathers and prepares financial records for auditors. Interacts with both private and federal auditors. Participates in Marketing activities including orientation, benefits fair, and other activities as assigned. Serve as a Notary Public.
    ·Board Management
    Conduct studies and research for the Board of Directors regarding personnel, savings and lending policies, insurance, new programs and other subjects as assigned. Serve as member of Investment Committee and make recommendations on investing the funds of the credit union. Invest credit union funds as directed. Annually, project through budgetary means the credit unions potential for growth and confer with the board of directors regarding the implementation of new goals and programs.
    ·Compliance
    Maintain a working knowledge of BSA laws/regulations. Implement the policies and all compliance requirements governing the operations of the credit union as determined by the board of directors, the bylaws and state and federal regulations.
    ·Financial Systems
    Monitor all hardware and software systems and make recommendations for upgrades when necessary. Assure that security is maintained within the financial systems. Maintain credit union website and update when necessary. Perform disaster recovery testing on an annual basis with credit union software vendor. Maintain offsite backup records for credit union in the event of a disaster.
    ·Staff Performance Management
    Assist in the selection, training, development, motivation, appraisal and discipline of staff members. Define and document criteria for performance evaluations. Adhere to HR policies and procedures. Coordinate the day to day operations of the Credit Union, utilizing staff in the most efficient way possible. Serve as a resource to staff in the resolution of member problems or concerns. Meet with staff on a monthly basis to discuss current issues going on in the credit union.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Required:
    ·Bachelor of Business Admin
    ·5 years related experience

    Preferred:
    ·Master of Business Admin
