COMMUNITY EVENTS COORDINATOR
Help us create experiences that foster a connected community! We are currently seeking an organized, energetic self-starter for the full-time position of Community Events Coordinator. This role on our team is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of all major events offered through the Parks and Recreation Department at the various City facilities—events such as the Summer Concert Series, Movies in the Park, Light up Fairfield, Red, White & Kaboom, etc. Coordinating with local restaurants, food trucks, bands/musicians, production companies and other merchants in order to offer vending, entertainment and other significance to the Parks and Recreation events. The ideal candidate is reliable, friendly and self-motivated. They will have an education and experience that centers around creating, managing and planning fun and unique community events. Our next team member will be someone with effective oral and written communications skills as well as leadership and managerial skills. This position requires the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, local businesses and the surrounding community as well as possess a Valid Driver’s License.
