    Job Description

    The School of Arts & Humanities at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art and Design. The position will begin in August of 2020.

    We seek candidates with an MFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or other appropriate terminal degree. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in our Fine Art, Graphic Design, and Art Education programs, along with courses serving our core curriculum.  Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite and an understanding of industry expectations for aspiring designers is required.  Additional skills in illustration, animation, or other studio art areas are desirable. A strong commitment to teaching, advising, departmental citizenship, student recruitment, and a demonstrated program of creative/scholarly activity are required.  Other duties as assigned.  The candidate must have a demonstrated ability and commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
