    Job Title: Associate Director of Scholarship Stewardship
    Job Summary:

    The Associate Director of Scholarship Stewardship is responsible for all aspects of stewardship for scholarship donors and their funds. This role provides strategic management of scholarship funds awarded by Miami University’s Office of Student Financial Assistance. This position is also responsible for communication and engagement of scholarship donors in partnership with the Office of Donor Relations. Scholarship donors represent the single largest segment of past major donors at Miami, and this role leads the effort to implement creative and proactive approaches to connect donors with their scholarship recipients and to express the life-changing impact of donor scholarships.

    Duties/Physical Demands:

    • Communicates with scholarship donors to inform them of scholarship recipients, resolve criteria problems, and answer questions about the awarding process.
    • Manages scholarship donor reporting, which includes review and distribution of more than 3,600 student thank you letters to 1,200 donors.
    • Works with the Senior Director of Compliance and Gift Processing to ensure that the Office of Student Financial Assistance awards scholarships appropriately according to the specific criteria determined by the donor.
    • Serves as liaison to internal and external university partners, resolving various scholarship issues such as difficult-to-award criteria with development officers, divisional deans, and department chairs.
    • Coordinates stewardship events that enable scholarship donors to meet their student recipients.
    • Collaborates with the Office of Donor Relations to identify and execute meaningful opportunities to engage high-level scholarship donors.
    • Assists in the development of gift agreements for new scholarship gifts and ensures that all new scholarship master files are correct and complete.
    • Assists Senior Director of Compliance and Gift Processing on a variety of other projects as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of one year of relevant experience

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Banner computer systems.
    • Experience working in higher education.
