    Job Description
    Keller Fellow, deadline June 21, 2019; Proposed start date: end of July 2019, early August 2019
     
    Interact for Health seeks applications for a Keller Fellow. The Keller Fellowship is a full-time one-year position for a recent graduate or someone looking to make a career transition to one of the fields that comprise Interact for Health’s work:
     
    1. Community Research and Evaluation
    2. Current Strategic Priorities: reducing tobacco use, addressing the opioid epidemic and ensuring that children have access to health care through school-based health centers.
    3. Policy, philanthropy and grantmaking
    4. Communications and Media
     
    Responsibilities
     
    The fellow’s chief responsibilities will vary according to the field selected:
    1. Research and Evaluation: Participate in analysis and dissemination of health status survey results and public opinion polls about health policy.
    2. Current Strategic Priorities: Assist program officers on various projects related to reducing tobacco use, addressing the opioid epidemic and school-based health centers.
    3. Policy, philanthropy and grantmaking: Assist research, evaluation and program officers on various projects related to health policy.
    4. Communications and Media: Assist communications team with the writing of all Interact for Health publications.
    The fellow will also participate in staff meetings and grant reviews, provide feedback about the cultural relevance of Interact for Health’s work, and have other duties as assigned.
     
    Minimum Requirements
    Applicants must:
    • Have completed (or plan to complete) a master’s degree or doctorate in a related discipline (evaluation, behavioral/social sciences, public health, etc.) or have comparable experience (five or more years) in health, health policy, health care, public health, evaluation, applied research, community activism, communications, writing or journalism as relevant to the field selected
    • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Be able to work independently
    • Have excellent team membership skills
    • Have demonstrated customer service skills
