    Department: Human Resources
    Job Title: Director of Human Resources
    Reports To: CFO
    FLSA: Exempt/Salaried

    Job Purpose: Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function. Specifically, this position is responsible for overseeing employee relations, organizational development, compliance, recruitment, retention, benefits, worker’s compensation, seasonal game day staffing, and internship programs. Additional responsibilities include assisting in diversity strategies and union negotiations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    ❖ Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions.
    ❖ Finalize all HR internal audits and approve necessary adjustments.
    ❖ Review and make recommendations for the improvement of company policies, procedures, and practices.
    ❖ Develop and execute organizational development strategies complete with professional development and training required by federal/state laws and Major League Baseball (MLB).
    ❖ Manage and lead company retention efforts including morale and employee recognition.
    ❖ Advise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures.

    Ensure that programs are carried out with the organization’s best interests in mind and policies and procedures are likewise applied. Coach and advise management and senior leadership from the perspective of the impact on people and the organization and make recommendations that focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
    ❖ Lead a team of HR professionals and strategize, plan, and direct the activities of the HR department.

    Experience, Education and Licensure
    ❖ Bachelor's Degree with at least seven years related experience in the Human Resources field as a manager or generalist required.
    ❖ Master’s degree and/or professional certification preferred.

    Knowledge and Skills
    ❖ Understanding of state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA).
    ❖ Understanding of, and some experience with, most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management including recruiting/staffing, employee relations, performance management, leadership development/training
    ❖ Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items.
    ❖ Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise.
    ❖ Ability to work without supervision and make appropriate decisions, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and process work with accuracy.
    ❖ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be capable of mastering Paycor
    HR Performer software and reports.
    ❖ Have a high level of interpersonal skill and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
    ❖ Strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, data entry, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
    ❖ Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff and employees.
    ❖ Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
    ❖ The position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

    ❖ Perform duties as workload necessitates
    ❖ Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
