    Job Description
    KENTON COUNTY AIRPORT BOARD invites applications for the position of:  Facilities Maintenance Lead – Third Shift
    CLOSING DATE:  Open Until Filled

    Responsible for performing the duties of a lead in various facilities maintenance areas. Oversight over multiple disciplines and building systems throughout the airport. Other duties include snow removal and operating heavy equipment.

    This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs
    • Supervises job duties of Facilities Maintenance subordinates to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner, evaluates and writes employee performance reviews, processes timesheets and assists with new hire processes.
    • Creates projects and prioritizes work that best meets the needs of the organization.
    • Reviews CMMS entries of subordinate technicians, add materials, labor and completes work orders.
    • Works to improve quality assurance by improving organization efficiency and reducing waste.
    • Open/closes scheduled and unscheduled work orders and approves/generates PMs.
    • Advises and assists technicians with difficult maintenance and repair problems.
    • Assures subordinates are cross trained to do on-call jobs professionally. Trains employees in associated skill.
    • Assures proper safety equipment is used and training developed to ensure safety and efficiency in the department.
    • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

    High School Diploma or GED and seven years of experience in a related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Maintain Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA) Clearance.
    • Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS and emergency training.

    • Various facilities maintenance equipment and tools depending on assignment;
    • OSHA and FAA regulations;
    • Blueprint reading and drafting.

    • Demonstrated skill in maintaining a variety of maintenance records;
    • Demonstrated skill in safely lifting/pulling loads to work areas;
    • Demonstrated supervisory skills;
    • Clearly and effectively communicating, both orally and in writing;
    • Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets;
    • Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.

    Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
    Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
