    Job Description
    The American Red Cross Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region is seeking a Strategic Accounts Relationship Specialist. The selected hire will be based in our Cincinnati, Ohio Chapter. Candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in Fundraising, Sales and Public Relations, highly desired.

    Preferred skills: Strong communication and excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills required.
    Job Summary:

    Plans, schedules, directs, and implements service or program overall goals and objectives. Provides services to a small or specific population of clients or users where program impacts localized functions. Oversees the work assignment and performance of staff and volunteers. Develops and manages service or program budget. Represents the Red Cross and promotes services and programs to the communities within the Chapter’s jurisdiction.

    Identify, set and achieve the philanthropic goals and objectives of individuals and corporations in assigned portfolio, establishing oneself as the primary resource and contact in their relationship with the United Way.
    Collaborate, coordinate and execute with other internal teams to achieve shared goals. Provide insight into the planning and execution of special events, participating in key events with individuals and corporations, the United Way, and the communities and agencies supported.
    Manage and engage with key volunteer leaders in the implementation of strategies within assigned portfolio while providing optimal support/service.
    Build awareness of United Way, its mission, fundraising, and recruitment needs by educating employees and corporations on the positive benefits of their time and resources dedicated to the United Way, solidifying the relationship between the individuals, the United Way, and their communities.
    Cultivate deep, strategic, year-round, sustainable relationships between the employees and companies within assigned portfolio.
    Develop a comprehensive understanding of the history, corporate culture, operating rhythms, etc., of assigned corporations, developing personalized and differentiated approaches to each client and its constituents.
    Identify key individuals and senior leaders within each corporation, nurturing stronger United Way relationships and support through time spent with individual donors and the facilitation of connections with the Individual Engagement Team.
    Introduce and develop initiatives to increase engagement with the United Way and deepen the commitment of the corporations and their employees.
    Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and process for the individuals and corporations within assigned portfolio. Analyze data and reports for opportunity and risk identification. Track and evaluate effectiveness of strategies, campaigns, and overall results.

    JOB RELATIONSHIPS WITH: Interacts with team members at all levels within the organization and within assigned portfolio, works with Executives as well.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience: Minimum of 3 to 7 years’ progressive experience in implementing and advancing programs and providing leadership to a department, program or service. Experience in developing and managing budget. Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem-solving. Ability to relate well and effectively with diverse groups and individuals. Two years previous experience in a fundraising, development, sales, communication and/or public relations capacity is preferred.

    Management Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ staff management experience.
