Responsible for skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of airport underground utilities systems (with the exception of Electric/Data).

Maintenance and repair of underground utilities with the exception of Electric/Data
Project review for new utlity systems on an as needed basis
Temporary meters for construction use
Assist with utility locates
Performs servicing and testing of plumbing equipment
Performs water main, fire hydrant and other water system repair
Operates gasoline and diesel powered trucks and light pieces of equipment such as backhoes, tractors, runway brooms, tractor mowers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, and snow plows
On-call 24/7 to respond to system problems
Complete work orders and record time/material utilized
Performs on-call duties, specific position assignments will vary based on department needs
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED and five years of plumbing experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Commercial Driver’s license – Class A
Master Plumber License
Cross Connection and Control Testers license
Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA)
Kentucky State Plumbing Code;
Testing and repair of cross connection devises;
Wide variety of hand and power tools;
Test and repair of water meters;
OSHA Standards, Airfield and FAA Regulations.
Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets;
Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Very Heavy Work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
