Hispanics Avanzando Hispanics Hires First Executive Director
Cincinnati, Ohio Tuesday, April 11, 2017 –Hispanics Avanzando Hispanics (The Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati Foundation) has hired Daniel Minera as its first part-time Executive Director.
Daniel Minera is a longstanding advocate for justice and the wellbeing of the Greater Cincinnati community. His work includes serving as Director, Hispanic Outreach, City Gospel Mission and Pastor of Outreach for Amigo Ministries. Minera will continue in these efforts. He is also presently serving as Board Member for the Cincinnati Public Schools. Minera is a former member of the Roberts Paideia Academy’s Local School Decision Making Committee and the University of Cincinnati Medical Services program.
Minera’s work with Hispanics Avanzando Hispanics will focus on program development, partnership development and capacity building. He will work in close partnership with the Board and staff of the Foundation and the Chamber to position the organization for a full-time Executive Director to lead into the future.
Hispanics Avanzando Hispanics was founded in 2001. The organization seeks to build understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic/Latino culture in the Greater Cincinnati community, and to address social and economic disparities that exist among the Hispanic population. Efforts include programs to improve educational outcomes, reduce bullying, increase inclusion, and eliminate health disparities.
