We were thrilled to learn that an article tracing the evolution of our opioid work was selected as a cover story of the January 2020 edition of the journal Health Affairs. In “Philanthropic Strategy In The Face Of An Opioid Epidemic,” Jennifer Chubinksi and Michelle Lydenberg examine the role Interact for Health has played in addressing the opioid epidemic, including convening partners, funding controversial harm reduction programs and working to reduce stigma. Others can learn from Interact for Health’s experience, Chubinksi said.
In addition, Megan Folkerth and Kelley Adcock wrote about the 2017 effort by Williamstown, Kentucky, citizens to gather air quality data in support of a smoke-free law. “Citizen Science: A New Approach to Smoke-Free Policy Advocacy” appears in a January 2020 special supplement of the journal Health Promotion Practice.
