    Good afternoon!

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to see if you can help get the word out about two things: 1) attached to this message is a flier to print and distribute to any of your constituents who need free or cheap Internet access (if you need hard copies, let me know how many & send your preferred address); and 2) a new library eCard community members can use to access our online resources right away. Any help you can do in getting the word out to your networks is greatly appreciated! The information about the eCard is below. Thank you so much for your help, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if the Library can support your important work during these challenging times.

Today the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County launched a streamlined form for a Downloadable eCard to make it easier for community members to access our online resources while our doors remain closed to the public temporarily.  The eCard is for all ages, and we’ve relaxed ID verification so that the card can be used immediately. Some details:

    ·        This only applies to new cards
    ·        If you already have any kind of library card from us, continue to use it. You don’t need a new one.
    ·        If you have a temporary card number now, you can call (513)369-6900 and staff will assist getting you a permanent number

Once you’ve signed up for the eCard, all the books, audiobooks, movies, music, magazines, online learning and more in our eBranch are available to you for free. When we are more fully operational, we will follow-up with you to verify addresses and update your card type should you so choose.
