The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library has updated the hours of operation for all locations and will now allow visitors to stay for up to two hours. Other updates for the Main Library branch include increasing the number of available computers, new spaces for personal computer use and a student-only space, and an expanded collection of books and other materials. All locations are open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
This fall weather is great for enjoying a guided tour outdoors. Join Friends of Music Hall for an hour-long tour of the historic concert hall and National Historic Landmark. Learn about the architectural design and construction process of Music Hall, as well as what was happening culturally and historically in Cincinnati during that time. This tour is perfect for the Cincinnati historian and architectural enthusiast. Tours are offered on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout October, with new dates offered each month. This Sunday, Christ Church Cathedral is hosting an Indigenous Peoples Celebration, a virtual event featuring a sermon by Rev. Cornelia Eaton of the Navajo Nation, as well as musical performances that celebrate the culture of North America’s indigenous people. Store hours are Wednesday-Saturday, noon-6 p.m.
Take a stroll around Over-the-Rhine as Second Sunday OTR returns this weekend, offering a fun and safe way to shop at various retailers and enjoy delicious food throughout the neighborhood. Presented by the OTR Chamber of Commerce, this monthly event brings the shopping, dining, and musical entertainment onto the sidewalk, allowing for social distancing while supporting local merchants and entrepreneurs. The event happens this Sunday from noon-5 p.m.
