We’re back with more events and promotions to help you Save Local this week, from ice skating to shopping and drink ideas – whether you’re venturing out or looking to help from home!

Grab a friend or family member and visit the ice rink on Fountain Square. The rink has been extended to February 28, but this week is your last opportunity to hit the ice this season! Enjoy ice skating or try the bumper cars on ice, a new feature for this year. Stop in at the warming tent to heat up and watch the action or enjoy a beverage.  If you have kids in tow and need a good lunch option, head over to Hathaway’s Diner at Carew Tower, which offers a fun, retro feel while offering a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and homemade soups. Just a block away, visit First Watch for brunch, or more lunch options at Silver Ladle, including its delicious, cheesy, potato soup.

If you’re in the mood for shopping, visit the new retailers located in the Historic West Fourth Street District. Koko, a sustainable home and beauty products retailer, and its sister store Forage, a plant and home décor shop, recently held their grand opening event earlier this month. These new retailers are located at 318-320 West Fourth Street. Start your shopping trip with a hot beverage at Deeper Roots Coffee, just down the street at 338 West Fourth Street and also new to the neighborhood.

Down to Mars Vintage, located at 621 Main Street is having a sale this week, offering 15% off vintage furs in stock. Stop in before the sale ends on February 28. Pair your new threads with a hair cut or color by one of the talented stylists located just steps away along Main Street. Visit Jan Hirlinger at Hair at 633, and enjoy $15 off for new customers. Amanda Kelly Studios is offering 50% off for first-time clients through February 28. Treat yourself to a new ’do!

Running low on provisions? You can stay indoors and order wine from Skeleton Root, delivered right to your door. The winery located in Over-the-Rhine offers delivery within 20 miles of its location, with a minimum purchase of $50. Skeleton Root is also offering a “Staycation Pairing Pack”, including wine flights for $64, featuring signature wines Seyval Blanc, Northern Liberties Red, and Carignan. Deliveries are offered Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. To start your order, click here.

Over-the-Rhine restaurant Pleasantry is offering a virtual food experience with its new “Zoom Salon Series”. This ticketed event includes a virtual wine tasting of 4 oz. pours of 4 different wines and food to snack on, to be picked up the day of the event. The next date in the series is this Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m., and the tickets are $35. To purchase a ticket, click here.
