Funding available for tobacco, opioid projects Interact for Health seeks applicants for the following projects to reduce tobacco use and address the opioid epidemic.
- The Opioid Harm Reduction Request for Proposals seeks to support harm reduction programs that reverse the trend of overdoses and deaths from opioids. Projects may include planning, implementing or expanding syringe services programs or targeted distribution of Narcan and/or fentanyl test strips. Deadline: March 31.
- The Tobacco 21 Ohio Education Campaign Request for Applications seeks organizations to implement an existing Tobacco 21 campaign to increase awareness of and compliance with Ohio’s Tobacco 21 policy. Deadline: March 17.
- The Tobacco Policy Change Request for Proposals will support the development of model tobacco policy change efforts at the community level with a priority on tobacco retailer licensing, restricting the sale of menthol and flavored tobacco products, and creating smoke-free workplaces. Deadline: March 24.
- The Access to Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder Request for Proposals will fund projects that expand access to treatment for opioid use disorder in areas where either prescribers or clinicians do not currently offer services or in communities where the need is greater than existing capacity. Deadline: March 17.
