This week, we celebrate the opening of several businesses in Downtown Cincinnati!

Mon Petit Choux, the new bakery located at 24 West Court Street, serves French pastries and desserts such as eclairs, macarons, and croissants, as well as danishes, cakes, and turnovers. The name, Mon Petit Choux, translates to “little cream puff,” which is also a menu item and a specialty of the shop. The bakery also offers a small coffee menu. Stop in for a sweet treat from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.

The first brewery to open in the Central Business District in over a decade, Rebel Mettle Brewery is hosting its grand opening on Saturday, located at 412 Central Avenue in the burgeoning Historic West Fourth District. A veteran-owned business, Rebel Mettle is focused on quality and innovation, producing locally made craft beer out of its 17,000 square-foot brewery and taproom. The party starts at noon with live music, fun giveaways, and plenty of cold beer.

Also opening this Saturday, Covington-based Braxton Brewery is expanding across the river to the former 3 Points Brewery at 331 East 13th Street in Pendleton. The new owners will also be working with the team behind the restaurant Parlor on Seventh in Covington to develop a new food concept at the former CHX location next door to the brewery. The grand opening for Braxton Cincinnati will include live performances by Tracy Walker and the band, Hot Magnolias.

As the Cincinnati Bell Connector is running again, and for free, Riverside Food Tours will once again feature its popular Cincinnati Streetcar and Findlay Market Tour. These tours run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 p.m., and include a three-hour sightseeing tour of the city and food stops at six local restaurants, with stories of local history, art and architecture along the way. Other streetcar tours include the Saturday morning Cincy Brunch Tour and the Cincy Vegan Tour.

Second Sunday OTR, a street festival extending throughout OTR that has taken the place of Second Sunday on Main for this summer, returns this weekend. The event, scheduled for this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., is a walkable market that promotes existing brick-and-mortar businesses and pop-up merchants, with food and retail booths located along the sidewalk. Live music and performances will also be featured as part of the festivities, provided by the Cincinnati Music Accelerator.
