The Cincinnati Reds are gearing up for the future baseball season with some fun promotions. Kicking off this month, the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum 2020 Collectible Gift Series features the Paul Derringer Bobblehead. Reds fans can order up to two of these bobbleheads online through the HOF Admission Voucher Program. When you purchase a HOF ticket voucher for $12 during the month of May, you will also receive a Derringer bobblehead, which can be shipped or picked up when the museum is open to the public. The Hall of Fame and Museum has also updated its digital content, adding new features like cool artifact photos and instructional videos from former Reds players and Hall of Fame members. To explore the “virtual” museum, click here.

Stay-at-home orders and social distancing may have created even more quality time with your pets, with lots of photos of them to share on Instagram or Facebook. Why not pick your favorite one and enter to win a contest? Cincinnati Magazine is holding a Cutest Pet Photo Contest, and the winner will get a free photo shoot with a professional photographer. The deadline to enter is May 31, so don’t miss your chance to turn your pet into a star. For more details, visit the contest page.

Findlay Market just welcomed a new vendor to the market center. LK Findlay Market, owned by Ryan Lillis and John Knodel, offers a full line of fresh pork, lamb, and other smoked meats. If you’re in need of grocery items, you can help support these merchants by using the Findlay Market Shopping App, with pickup and delivery options available Tuesday through Friday.

Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10. While local restaurants are still closed for dining, CityBeat has put together a list of businesses offering family-style meals to-go, including Downtown Cincinnati favorites like LouVinoGoose & Elder, and Yard House. For more carry-out options downtown, check out our list of options in the Central Business District. The OTR Chamber has also compiled a list of carry-out options in Over-the-Rhine, as well as retailers with online shopping available, if you need to purchase a special gift. Help support local businesses while celebrating the wonderful mothers in your life!
