We have great news for members of the Mercantile Library. It just reopened for members-only access, with strict adherence to the latest business guidelines. The first 30 minutes during business hours will be dedicated to those in the at-risk category, and all visitors and employees must wear a mask. New library hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The library will continue to host virtual events including book discussions and other programming. Welcome back, Mercantile Library!

If you miss seeing live music and want to support local music venues, there’s a fun way to do it. The organizers behind Cincinnati’s music website CincyMusic and local independent music station Inhailer Radio have partnered to sponsor two nights of live streaming music from both local and national bands. Proceeds from these events will help support the employees of MOTR Pub and Woodward Theater. Tune in tomorrow and Saturday night from 5:30-11 p.m. for great, live music. More information here.

The Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce has created a small business fund to provide relief to small businesses located in the OTR neighborhood. The Chamber just launched a fundraising campaign, OTR: Back on the Rise, with the goal of raising $100,000 toward this effort.

The Downtown Ambassadors have been hard at work sanitizing high-touch areas in anticipation of more businesses opening, bringing more visitors and customers to downtown. Surfaces like ATMs, crosswalk buttons and other commonly used areas are routinely sanitized, as well as areas within civic spaces like Fountain Square, Washington Park and Ziegler Park. We encourage visitors to return to these popular greenspaces and gathering spaces, but please adhere to social distancing and other health and safety guidelines. The dog park at Washington Park is open as well, and is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Have a fun, safe and healthy Memorial Day Weekend!
