NHTSA HIGH VISIBILITY ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN UPDATE

    State Safety Partners,

NHTSA recognizes that States and our law enforcement and first responder partners are working tirelessly to respond to the current public health emergency.  In order for States to prioritize public health, NHTSA has postponed our currently scheduled traffic safety campaigns, including the Distracted Driving, Heatstroke Awareness, and Click It or Ticket campaigns.   NHTSA recognizes that States may have to reprioritize other actions and we will re-evaluate other NHTSA-funded activities as warranted in the days and weeks ahead.

From: Ohio Traffic Safety Office - OTSO

To: OTSO Sub-recipients and Traffic Safety Partners

Due to the notice received above from our Federal Sponsor, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), OTSO will allow sub-recipients to adjust their work plans to coincide with the postponement of the Distracted Driving, Heatstroke Awareness, and Click it or Ticket campaigns.

Any questions you might have regarding programming or grant-related activities, please direct them to your Planner.  As the OTSO receives more direction on future programming, we will forward the information on to our partners.

Thank you for all of your efforts,

    - OTSO
