The event will be held at St. John's ESOL School-MVCTC and Premier Health will have a mobile van onsite to provide various health and wellness screenings.

"Lost Boys of Sudan" Film Screening (6/21 and 6/23): The Dayton Metro Library is hosting TWO free screenings of the PBS documentary "Lost Boys of Sudan": The first screening is on Thursday, June 21, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Main Library's Eichelberger Forum, 215 E. The second screening is on Saturday, June 23, 12-2:00 p.m. (without the question and answer period) in the Library's Bassani Theater Off Third. Other Events

"Storytime Around the World" (6/18, 2-3 p.m.): Through this event we want to engage community members so we can share resources, as well as intrigue them in the magical world of language. At past meetings and in past experiences, we have witnessed and heard of needs going unmet in our community because of stigma surrounding non-English speaking and low English proficiency individuals. By using storytelling to introduce new languages to children we hope to ignite their imagination and gain their acceptance and love for other cultures, languages and people. In the long run, maybe these children will learn many languages or perhaps they will simply be more attentive to serving and interacting with diverse populations. If you have children, please join us for Storytime on June 18 from 2-3 p.m. at Dayton Metro Library's Electra C. Doren Branch. (701 Troy St, Dayton).
