UPDATE: Interact for Health adjusts to COVID-19March 25, 2020Coronavirus affects Interact for Health funding, Learning Center
Like other organizations in Greater Cincinnati, Interact for Health’s operations have been disrupted by the novel coronavirus outbreak. Though our offices are closed, our associates continue to work remotely and have taken steps to address issues arising from the spread of COVID-19.
We have assessed our current funding opportunities and have decided to suspend some grantmaking given the current environment. We have closed the Tobacco 21 Ohio Education Campaign and Tobacco Policy Change requests for proposals. We look forward to reopening these RFPs after the current crisis has passed.
Funding for Opioid Harm Reduction is still available. Applicants interested in planning, implementing or expanding syringe services programs or targeted distribution of Narcan and/or fentanyl test strips are invited to apply before the deadline on Tuesday, March 31. In addition, applications for the Access to Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder RFP will be reviewed in the coming weeks.
CONFERENCE AND LEARNING CENTERInteract for Health’s conference center will be closed through April 15. In addition, two Learning Center classes originally scheduled for April have been canceled. Registrants for Grant Management (April 14) and Introduction to Fundraising (April 28) will be contacted by Interact for Health staff and offered a refund or registration for the rescheduled date. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact Conference Center and Education Manager Maurice Stewart at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
INTERACT FOR CHANGE NURSING SCHOLARSHIPSApplications will be reviewed in the coming weeks. Winners will be notified in late April. We will monitor the outbreak and determine whether the reception planned for May 4 will be held.As the COVID-19 situation evolves we will send further updates about other cancellations and adjustments to our work. Thank you for your interest in Interact for Health and for your patience in these extraordinary times.
