Art for a Difference Day

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day we are doing a very special art project! This day of service encourages youth to understand the benefits of volunteering your time, how to give the gift of kindness, and how to use your creative talents to make a difference in the community! Youth ages 5-13 are invited to participate for FREE. Every year, KHAC partners with a local non-profit to create artworks that are given to that organization to benefit their mission. This year Kennedy Heights Arts Center and Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS) have teamed up to combat social isolation and deliver joy to our region’s seniors. You are invited to create a handmade gift and personalized card for an older adult in need. You will receive a Joy Delivery kit including all materials and instructions to make a handcrafted item and card. Create the items at home, then drop it off at the Art Center to be delivered to a senior living in one of the ERS communities.
