Hispanic College Scholarships

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

The HCCUSA Foundation is pleased to announce the start of accepting applications for our Annual College Scholarship Program. This program recognizes Hispanic students attending Colleges and Universities in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area and is supported by local businesses, organizations, and individuals. The HCCUSA Foundation intends to recognize and honor the achievements of Hispanic College Students who will inspire other younger Hispanic students to pursue higher education.

Note: Incomplete applications will not be considered for a scholarship

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:

* Be of Hispanic or Latino origin or descent.
* Be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen, or international student (visa holder).
* Be enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university within the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.
* Maintain full-time enrollment status as defined by the respective college or university.
* Demonstrate proven leadership in both academic and community settings.
* Commit to volunteering for a minimum of 5 hours with the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA or organizations that support the Hispanic community in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The required hours must be completed by December 31, 2026.
* Submit a concise video (maximum duration of 3 minutes) addressing the following:

  • Hispanic heritage
  • Involvement with the Hispanic community
  • Financial need and the benefits of receiving this scholarship

* Attach an updated resume and consider including your LinkedIn profile.
* Submit a professional, high-resolution digital headshot (JPEG format, size under 5 MB; selfies are not accepted).

Note: Recipients of this award are ineligible to reapply in subsequent years.

  1. Complete and submit applications with all required documents online by January 2026.
  2. Applications will be reviewed by the HCCUSA Foundation Education Committee.
  3. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
  4. Final selections will be announced in mid-February.
  5. Successful applicants will receive a written scholarship offer and will need to accept or decline.
  6. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at a special event in March 2026.
  7. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to your school and applied toward tuition costs.
